Version 1.2Your privacy is important. This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when you use Snuskontroll, create an account, use cloud synchronization or social features, and purchase Premium.## 1. Data controllerSnuskontroll is developed and provided by Adam Ahlman, a private individual in Sweden, who is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy.Ahlman Apps is a name used for the app activity and is not a separate company or legal entity.Contact:[email protected]## 2. Using Snuskontroll without an accountYou can use Snuskontroll without creating an account.When you use the app without an account, your recorded snus use, statistics, goals and settings are stored locally on your device. This information is not sent to Snuskontroll's cloud database unless you choose to enable a feature that requires this, such as cloud synchronization.Local information normally remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Information may also be included in backups managed by your operating system or device provider.Premium purchases are handled separately through Apple and RevenueCat and may therefore involve the processing of purchase and technical information even when you use the app without a Snuskontroll account.## 3. AccountsCreating a Snuskontroll account is optional.If you create an account, the following information may be processed:- email address
- internal user ID
- username
- display name
- information required for authentication
- information about when the account was created and usedSupabase is used for authentication and account data storage.If you choose Google sign-in, information required to identify and authenticate your account is processed, such as an identifier and your email address.Account information is used to create and administer your account and provide features that require an account.Legal basis: processing is necessary to provide the account service that you have chosen to use.## 4. Cloud synchronizationCloud synchronization is optional.If you choose to enable cloud synchronization, the following information may be associated with your Snuskontroll account and stored in the cloud:- recorded snus use
- history and daily records
- statistics
- goals
- streaks and progress
- settings included in synchronizationThe purpose is to back up, synchronize and restore your Snuskontroll data.Information about the use of nicotine products may in some circumstances reveal information about a person's health or health-related habits. This information is therefore processed with particular care.Before information about your snus use is uploaded to the cloud for the first time, you should be informed about what information will be stored and actively choose whether to enable the feature.Legal basis: consent. To the extent that the information constitutes special-category health data, processing is based on your explicit consent.You may withdraw your consent and disable cloud synchronization at any time. You can continue using the app's basic local functionality without cloud synchronization.If consent is withdrawn, further processing based on that consent will stop. Cloud information that no longer needs to be processed should be capable of being deleted, except for information that must be retained by law or another valid legal basis.Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.## 5. Friends and social featuresIf you use the friends feature, the following information may be processed:- friend code
- username and display name
- user ID
- sent and received friend requests
- accepted friendships
- level and points
- streak
- today's recorded count
- yesterday's recorded countYour friend code is used so that other users can find you and send you a friend request.Statistics concerning your snus use should only be made available to users whom you have accepted as friends.Because some of this information may reveal information about your nicotine habits, you choose whether to use the friends feature and share this information.Legal basis: technical processing of friendships is necessary to provide the friends feature. Sharing potentially health-related usage statistics with other users is based on your explicit consent.You can end friendships and stop sharing information using controls in the app.## 6. Premium and purchasesPayments for Premium on iOS are handled by Apple through the App Store.Snuskontroll does not receive your complete payment card number or full payment details.RevenueCat is used to:- determine whether you have access to Premium
- verify and restore purchases
- manage subscription status
- provide purchase and subscription statisticsRevenueCat may process information such as:- App User ID
- device type and operating system
- information about when the app was last used
- purchase and subscription information
- Apple receipts and transaction informationIn the current implementation, Snuskontroll does not directly link RevenueCat's App User ID to the email address associated with your Snuskontroll account.Legal basis: processing is necessary to administer Premium and purchases that you have made.Apple also processes information relating to purchases and subscriptions under Apple's own terms and privacy policy.## 7. Support and contactIf you contact us, we may process information that you provide, such as:- name
- email address
- contents of your message
- technical information you send
- other information required to handle your requestThe information is used to respond to questions and resolve issues with the service.Legal basis: legitimate interest in providing support and administering the service or, where your request directly concerns a service you use, in providing that service to you.Please do not send more sensitive information than is necessary to handle your request.## 8. Security and technical informationLimited technical information may be processed to:- protect accounts and the service
- detect unauthorized access or abuse
- troubleshoot technical problems
- maintain the security and stability of the serviceLegal basis: legitimate interest in protecting users, systems and the service.Appropriate technical and organizational security measures are used to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or unlawful processing.However, no technical system can guarantee complete security.## 9. Service providersThird-party providers are used for certain parts of Snuskontroll.### SupabaseSupabase is used for services including:- user accounts
- authentication
- database services
- cloud synchronization
- friendshipsSnuskontroll's primary Supabase database is located in the West EU, Ireland region.### RevenueCatRevenueCat is used for services including:- Premium status
- purchase verification and restoration
- subscription information
- purchase statistics### AppleApple handles services including payments and App Store subscriptions.### GoogleIf you choose Google sign-in, Google processes the information required for authentication.Snuskontroll does not sell your personal data.Service providers that process personal information on our behalf may only process the information for relevant purposes and in accordance with applicable agreements and instructions.## 10. Processing outside the EU/EEASome service providers or their subprocessors may process personal data outside the European Union and European Economic Area, including in the United States.Where transfers outside the EEA require specific safeguards, applicable mechanisms under the GDPR are used, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another valid transfer mechanism.The fact that Snuskontroll's primary Supabase database is located in Ireland does not necessarily mean that all technical processing by every service provider takes place within the EEA.You may contact [email protected] for further information.## 11. How long information is retainedPersonal data is not retained longer than necessary for the relevant purpose.### Locally stored app dataLocal app data is stored on your device until you delete it, clear the app's data or uninstall the app.### Account informationAccount information is stored while your Snuskontroll account exists.When the account is deleted, account information and associated active cloud data should be deleted except for information that must be retained by law or another valid legal basis.### Cloud-stored app dataCloud-stored information is retained while it is needed for the cloud functionality you have chosen to use or until you delete the information or withdraw consent on which processing is based.### FriendshipsFriendship information is retained while the friendship or account exists. When a friendship is removed, the other user's access to information shared through that relationship should end.### Support requestsSupport correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve the request and any reasonable follow-up questions.### Logs and backupsTechnical logs and backups may be retained for a limited period according to the retention and backup cycles used by the relevant technical service providers.Deleted information may therefore remain in backups for a limited period until those backups are automatically overwritten. Such backups are used for security and recovery and should not be returned to normal active processing following a deletion request except where technically necessary as part of system recovery.### Purchase informationApple and RevenueCat may retain certain purchase and subscription information in accordance with their own legal obligations and retention requirements.## 12. Deleting your account and informationIf you have a Snuskontroll account, you can initiate deletion of your account from the account settings in the app.When an account is deleted, Snuskontroll should delete personally linked information that does not need to be retained by law or another valid legal basis. This includes:- the Snuskontroll account
- account information stored in Supabase
- cloud-stored Snuskontroll data associated with the account
- friend requests and friendships associated with the accountInformation stored only locally on your device may need to be removed separately through controls in the app or by uninstalling the app.Deleting your Snuskontroll account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription.Subscriptions are administered by Apple and must be cancelled separately through Apple's subscription settings.If you would like to request deletion of additional personal information, contact:[email protected]## 13. Your rightsDepending on how your personal data is processed, you may have the right under the GDPR to:- receive information about the processing
- request access to your personal data
- have inaccurate information corrected
- request deletion of personal data
- request restriction of processing
- object to certain processing
- receive certain information in a structured and machine-readable format
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consentYou can exercise your rights by contacting:[email protected]We may need to verify your identity before providing, changing or deleting personal information.Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) if you believe your personal data has been processed in violation of the GDPR.## 14. Automated decision-makingSnuskontroll does not use automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.Automatically generated statistics, goals, streaks, achievements and similar features are app functionality and are not used for such decision-making.## 15. Changes to this Privacy PolicyThis Privacy Policy may be updated as Snuskontroll changes, when service providers change or where changes in legislation or other requirements make an update necessary.The date at the top of the policy indicates when it was last updated.If a change materially affects how your personal data is processed, you will be informed in an appropriate way, for example within the app.## 16. MolnsynkMolnsynk är frivillig.Om du väljer att aktivera molnsynk kan följande information kopplas till ditt Snuskontroll-konto och lagras i molnet:- registrerad snusanvändning

- statistik

- inställningar som ingår i synkroniseringenSyftet är att kunna säkerhetskopiera, synkronisera och återställa din Snuskontroll-data.Uppgifter om användning av nikotinprodukter kan i vissa sammanhang ge information om en persons hälsa eller hälsorelaterade vanor. Sådana uppgifter behandlas därför med särskild försiktighet.Innan uppgifter om din snusanvändning första gången lagras i molnet ska du få information om vad som kommer att lagras och aktivt välja om du vill aktivera funktionen.Rättslig grund: samtycke. I den utsträckning uppgifterna utgör känsliga personuppgifter om hälsa grundas behandlingen på ditt uttryckliga samtycke.Du kan när som helst återkalla ditt samtycke och stänga av molnsynk. Du kan fortsätta använda appens grundläggande lokala funktioner utan molnsynk.Om
